Another year has past bye, leaving us another year older and another year wiser?? We had a lot of interesting events happen this year that brought on a lot of pain and sorrow but with that came a new respect for life, loved ones and friends.
| Hailee is now six and in the first grade at Normandy Elementary. After multiple trips to the doctors, she had surgery on her ears to remove her adenoids and insert ear tubes and she has not been sick since. She is now reading, adding and subtracting and agitating her parents with loads of questions. | ![]() |
| Madison turned three in May and is doing well in preschool. She can count to 10 in Spanish. We found out early in the year that she had a mild case of asthma and has to have breathing treatments two to three times a day. It is helping and with a little luck she will grow out of it. She had a minor accident with a ceiling light and experienced stitches. She healed wonderfully. | ![]() |
Ron is doing great at SDS, contracting to Lexis-Nexis. His own business, PrideLand Technologies, is starting to take form. He is still actively playing basketball but since he is now over 30, he is starting to get aches and pains more so than he did before. Pam is still with Battelle, contracting to Wright Patterson Air Force Base, a little more gray is showing up but still less than Ron! In addition, she even played basketball in the Clinton-Massie Alumni Tournament! Ha!
We lost a loved one this year. He fought hard for seven months but the cancer won. Pams father passed away July 7. During his fight, many new friendships developed and old ones renewed. People we did not even know prayed for our family. That is why this is added to the Christmas letter, to return many thanks for all the prayers and support that was given to us in our time of need. Out of the mouth of his six-year-old grandchild, Why are you crying mommy and daddy, Pap is in heaven . With our new angel on our shoulder, we are moving forward.
Many family members this year kept us on our toes. From broken bones, car wrecks, bells-palsy, car thefts, new pets and babies, 1998 will be a year to remember! We do not wish to have another year like it so we are looking forward to a GREAT 1999! Please have a healthy, happy and safe holiday season! And Stop by if you are in the area!
